SNOWY MOUNTAINS RIDING FOR THE DISABLED
In February 2003, a public meeting was called to organise a steering committee to establish the Snowy Mountains Centre
Our centre obtained accreditation in November 2006 and now operates out of the Jindabyne Equestrian Resort.
We cater for many and varied disabilities including:
- Amputation / Limb Deformities
- Arthritic conditions
- ADHD
- Autism
- Cerebral Palsy
- CVA or Stroke
- Down Syndrome
- Epilepsy
- Hearing Impairment
- Intellectual Disability
- Learning Disability
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Muscular Dystrophy
- Spina Bifida
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Vision Impairment
Currently, riding lessons are held on Saturday mornings at the Jindabyne Equestrian Resort. Mid-week lessons will also be available in the future. We will soon be offering carriage driving as an option for the disabled. Rides can also be organized for those visiting our wonderful Snowy Mountains area on a per ride basis.
